The windows and storm doors have different requirements during winter and summer. During the summer months, we need to take off glass panels and put on the mosquito screens to encourage airflow; while during the winter months, we need to put on the glass panels to prevent the airflow in order to preserve heat. The exchange of glass panels and screens can be located in the shed. As a tip, putting clear plastic window films can further preserve heat during the winter. Also, put some extra effort to seal the gaps on the window and venting fans with insulating strip to prevent heat loss.
Please take down the window-mounted air conditioner during the winter, it a big opening to the cold weather outside! The air conditioner has screens, it won't allow the mosquito to get into the house during the summer.
For the venting fans in the kitchen or bedroom, you can dismount it during the winter.
For the small sunroom outside the sliding door, I put on the roof panel to block the wind for the winter and take off the roof panel and open the glass door to encourage the airflow for the summer.

The house built before the year 1978 may have lead paintings. The south side (master bedroom and living room) is built before 1978. The north side of the cottage (kitchen and second bedroom) is built after 1978. The interior walls of the 2 bedrooms dates before 2014, the other interior walls are put on after the year 2014. The exterior walls are last painted in the year 2019.
